I have a my book mirror eddition WD20000H2U that has been working perfectly for a number of years. Today the power will not come on. I’ve tried another outlet, another power cord, disconnecting everything and reconnecting while the computer is off, etc. No luck. Anyone have any ideas? I am hoping that I can just remove the drives and it is a problem with the enclosure.

I have opened a case with WD support. I just wanted to see if anyone on the forum had experienced this and if so, how they handled it.
The answer from WD support was that the drive failed. They did not address my question about whether I could remove the drives and connect to the PC with out the enclosure. In other words, not much support from support.
