I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue, but for some odd reason… All my folders are showing up as files on mac os x yosemite. I have two my book lives having the same exact issue. Another problem is… I can’t see the drive on Windows 8.1 after upgrading from windows 7. I have completely reimaged the laptop, but the issue persists. I am assuming WD dropped support on my book live because my cloud is out.
Welcome to the Community. Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

I am having the same issue - not all my folders on my 3TB MyBook Live, but the ones with the most content and that I use the most (Movies and Music) both now show up as files rather than folders… and I can’t access the actual content. I upgraded to Yosemite as well, and I have tried accessing the content on another Mac running Mountain Lion, and had no luck.
I am glad that I am not the only one having the issue. For me, it’s all the folders that are affected. I did contact WD support by phone like the moderator posted, but all the representative and his supervisor told me that they have never heard of this issue. This is what they told me to do.
Reset the entire unit (Why would I do this if I am only having experience on my mac, not on my Windows 7?)
Connect the server directly to the computer.
Well, let me get you over to level 2 support… He told me that there was no fix available for this and I need to either get a replacement or buy the new my cloud.
The support agents were nice, however they were not knowledgeful. I don’t think I am going to buy WD products in the future.
