My 2rb my book live drops its connection to the router randomly: I can still ping the device, but both the router firmware and laptops say it is not available… I have to then disconnect, power down before it reconnects. When I do, it does not ask me to login but the shares reconnect just by clicking on them.
I also have a My Book Live 2tb, which works for a few days, then refuses all connections but is pingable. A power cycle clears the problem and the drive status always indicates GOOD in the control panel. The IP address never changes, but the drives are not reachable via \ \(devicename) or \ \(ip-address). Space available is 500 GB. I see no indication of a problem before the device takes itself offline. I have not been using the drive at the time of disconnect to check the status at the event. Any ideas what is triggering the drive to refuse all connections?
