I have been useing this MY BOOK FOR MAC for about 6 months. After updating Remote Desktop for OS X 10.10.2 the drive is not recognized by the computer 27" iMac late 2013. The drive is in standby mode. The USB cord is good, nothing else attached to the computer, tried every usb port. No matter how many time I try to remount it just does not see it. I do not have another machine to attach it to, so I can’t check it that way. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try to check in the unit is connected directly to the wall outlet to see if the unit needs more power to spin up. You can also try to use the unit on another computer to see if the drive comes up.
