I have a My Book Essentials 1110 USB Drive that I acquired from a defunct business. I want to use it to store photos on. I installed the driver under Windows 7 but the system seems to think its size is 644MB with a single UDF partition (which is full). That partition contains the WDSmartware software etc. Any ideas as to what may be wrong?
That partition is not the drive, it’s just the software virtual partition
go to to disk utility to format and partition the drive and then you’ll see the right partition
