My Book Essential USB 3.0 doesnt show on Windows 7 sys but works on Windows XP System

Hi

My Book Essential USB 3.0 suddenly doesnt show on my Windows 7 laptop. I plugged it into my Windows XP system and it works fine! 

On Windows 7 laptop I get the following error, in additon to device unrecognizable:


Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Windows\system32\CompMgmtLauncher.exe

R6016

  • not enough space for thread data

OK  

Any suggestions? Please help!

Hi,

You might be experiencing two issues.

Make sure that the drivers of the unit are being properly installed by the computer.

Also, make sure that the drive is being connected to the wall outlet power source to confirm that the unit is getting enough power.
