My Book Essential 3 TB is compatible with the tv samsung?

Hi, i want to buy the My Book Essential 3 TB but i’m not sure if it is compatible with my tv samsung (series 7). My tv has two usb 2.0, one for the HDD that I use with my other hard disk (not WD) and there aren’t problems. My question is if my Samsung LED TV, can recognize MB as a device, and read its internal content.

try connecting the drive

if it does not read it it could be two things, not compatible due to file system which can easily be solved by formatting or does not support the capacity which can also be solved by formatting ( partitioning ) in some cases

Maybe the capacity is too much, but try to format the drive as fat32. Also, you can find more accurate information in your TV website.
