My Book Essential 3 TB I dont want backup, just storage

Hi guys,

I have a new 3tb with my imac, is already formatted, but I dont want that my book do a backup for my files. I have a time capasule that I use to backup everything. Any idea how I can do this? I just want my 3tb for storage and storage.

Don’t install or uninstall Smartware then and it should work like a normal drive.

Hey there, If you only want to use the drive as a normal storage device, you can uninstall Smartware(in case it is in your applications) and simply Drag and Drop the files to your external. If  you click on the part underlined you will see instructions and detailes about what I am reffering.
