My book essential 2TB 3.0 USB appears like i plug into usb port but i didn´t plug it

Hi,

I have a problm with my external hard usb 3.0, the prolm is when i am working on the on the computer appears like i plug the external hard drive but i didn,t pluged because is the plug on the usb 3.0 port and i tried in diferent ports but always with same problm.

You might want to check if the drive shows up on Disk Management.

There’s a chance the drive needs drive letter assignment.
