My Book AV TV 2TB Max Recording Time?

i’m thinking of getting a My Book AV TV 2TB to record from my Panasonic TX-L42FT60B TV, i’ve read the My Book only uses FAT 32, which limits max file size to 4GB, so restricting recording of HD programs,

Is this correct?

Hello,

I recommend that you contact your cable company or DVR provider in order to get this question answered.

davidjames,

The 2TB edition of the WD My Book AV offers up to 150 recording hours depending on file size, compression, and resolution. Additionally, even though it comes pre-formatted as FAT32, you are able to format it to any other File System of your preference. However, you would need to contact the manufacturer of your television in order to confirm if it can accept File Systems other than FAT32 as previously noted.
