my book 1230 4T does not show up in disk management. it shows up in device manager under other device. says no driver installed. i manually installed driver it takes it but still does not show up under disk management.
What OS are you using it on?

Have you tried different USB ports? Also don’t use a cable longer than the one supplied or connect through a hub. Make sure your USB drivers are up to date.

I have tried all my usb ports. all drivers up to date. if it helps i have noticed when i plug in a memory stick/flash drive it does the exact same thing.
