Hello,

I would like to use my NAS for multiple Macs backups.
It works well with one share (when set as TimeMachine share), but I would like to use multiple shares so that I can improve security and adjust a different backup quota for each Mac.

Unfortunately MyCloud GUI allows only one TimeMachine Backup for which the quota can be set.

How to use multiple shares for TimeMachine on a WD NAS, and how to set for each share a quota ?

My Cloud OS 5 supports 1 share (TimeMachine Backup).

Thank you for your reply. I know MyCloud OS 5 supports only one share for TimeMachine.
Since it is based on open source projects such as Samba or Avahi, I wanted to know if some WD users managed to edit through SSH configuration files so that they can use multiple TimeMachine shares…
Should one succeeded, I would appreciate the benefit of their experience.
