Multiple Drives Connected to WD Media Hub

I have a WD TV Live media Hub…

In the back I have a USB hub that held my 3Tb My Book Essential and Wireless USB Stick.  Revently I got another My Book Essential.  My Media Hub does not detect the 2nd My Book.  Am I missing something?  Do I need to rename it somewhere ?

USB hubs don’t allow connection of multiple USB disks.  Only one USB disk is allowed per USB port, regardless of whether or not you use a USB hub.

Thats odd…why does this say it can?

I’m talking about the WD. You cannot use a USB hub to add more than one USB disk per WD USB port.

Thats just great…UGH!!!

So, whats a possible solution then?

Network USB Storage Link
I am using older one

works just fine
there is also new one

Would love to use the older one but it says the maximum a hard drive can be is 2TB

There are more network USB hubs on the market
check them out

This kind of makes me wish I had just gotten the WD TV instead of the hub…now I have to switch back and forth between network and local storage for viewing my movies.

Be patient.  I would imagine that the same functions of the Live-S will make it to the Hub in short order.

Short order as in latest firmware today!!!

BOOM!!   Thanks WD…that is so great.  All Movies found…2 My Book Essentials and a Wireless-N band stick connected to USB hub…
