Moved Home, now can't access dashboard - pls send help

Hello! I’m going to start and say that I have a very basic knowledge of anything tech and am at my wits end with what to do. I have the My Cloud 4tb.

I moved home, and have never been able to connect to my dashboard since. I am assuming (from looking at the web address for the dashboard) that it was linked to the old IP address, which has obviously changed! - I could be completely wrong, this is just wild guessing.

I am happy to lose all the data that is on there if it means that I can start using it again.

Would appreciate any and all advice!

If one previously set a static IP address in the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings prior to moving the My Cloud to a new network one may need to perform a 4 second reset to have the My Cloud reset back to obtain it’s IP address from the local network’s DHCP server.

The 4 Second Reset will reset the following:

  • Admin Password (No password by default)
  • Network Mode (Default = DHCP )

There are other methods to determine what IP address the My Cloud is using, among which include checking the local network router’s administration page to see what it lists for the My Cloud IP address (the DHCP client listings).
