Hi all,

I currently have a WDTV live and have spent many hours cataloging my movies and TV series so I have the cover art and synopsis etc displayed… what I want to know is why does this feature (which is a simple one surely?) not exist on the WDTV play?

Is there a different firmware out that will support it? I use the Tinwarble one on the LIVE… is there one for the PLAY?

I don’t own a WDTV Play …

but i do remember asking Tinwarble if “Themes” or “Theming” are available on the WDTV Play

Pretty sure the WDTV Play uses a MediaTek ARM MT8653 Chipset compared to the WDTV Live Streaming

which uses Sigma Designs SMP8670AD Chipset.

So it’s a pretty good bet, they are running different Firmware.

Remember, the WDTV Play is a Stripped Down Cheaper Device (thus, with less features)
