Hey all,
Just wondering what the different between selecting your share files from a computer through ‘Media Server’ and ‘Network Share’.
I have noticed with Media Server it doesn’t pick up all files.

Lest see, Network Shares use the SMB Protocol to connect to the shared files system.
Media Servers use the DLNA protocol to stream data ( or Media) from a media server to another media server.
Take this into consideration, Media server does not support external subtitles or thumbnail display, but it is less cumbersome to use than Media Server.
