Max supported capacity

Hi,

I was wondering whether MyCloudMirror will work with two 8TB WD Red? So far I can only find supported capacity of 12TB but 8TB HDD WD Red are pretty new.

I believe the MCM has the same compatibility as the EX2.

If you click here and then select the compatibility tab you’ll get a list of drives that work with the EX2 (and so the MCM).

WD red’s (WD60EFRX) at 6TB are listed there, but nothing higher capacity (although that page may predate the 8TB drives release and not be updated yet).

My Cloud Mirror Gen 1 supports up to 6TB Red drives. The My Cloud Mirror Gen2 supports 8TB Red drives but will need a 48W PSU.
