will not turn on - plug in cable cord gets very hot - is this a standard cable or do i need new one g-drive 2 toto
Are you sure this is a G-DRIVE or a G-RAID Gen2?
Make sure your power adapter is indeed a 12v 2a power supply if a G-DRIVE, 4a if a G-RAID. Are you saying the power adapter cord is hot or the cable used to attach to the computer?
What interface are you using to attach it? USB? FireWire?
If the light won’t come on at all then it is likely a hardware issue with the power adapter.
