I’ve just got a 750g Passport Essential SE for use with Mac & PC. Whenever I connect it to my mac mini the keyboard and mouse stop working until I unplug them and plug them back in again. Also, if I have my other WD Passport drive connected (My time machine drive) that gets ejected when connecting the 750g SE.
I’ve already upgraded the firmware on the new Passport using my PC and disabled the VCD/Smartware. (The problem above happened before I upgraded the firmware too).
I’ve got to say,I’m pretty disappointed with this new drive, i’ve got four older passport drives and they have all been excellent, but this new one is nothing but trouble. If i cant find a solution to this mac ejection problem i’ll have to return it to the store.
