m2ts file not recognized in WD Live

Hi all,

I created a movie in Power Director 9 and outputted the 1080 movie as an m2ts file.  It plays fine in Windows Media Player but when I open my shared folder to watch it through WD Live, it doesn’t even show up in the folder.  I thought m2ts files were supported.  What am I missing?

Thanks for any help,

Tim

Post the media info, just because the extension is m2ts doesn’t mean that it’s automatically supported for playback, there are more parameters like the internal codec and the framerate.

That output is REALLY hard to read, but I struggled through it.

First, a few questions:

1:  You have a LIVE PLUS or LIVE, right?   Not a Live Hub?

2:  Even if a file’s contents are NOT supported, if the EXTENSION is recognized, it will be listed.

So the fact that it’s unlisted implies to me that the WD is not even finding the file.

I appreciate the effort.  Its a Live Plus.

And you’re using NETWORK SHARES, not MEDIA SERVERS function on the WD?
