m2t files stuttering

After WDTV1 made its good job playing my collection of my Canon HV20 family videos, all in m2t files (which are same as TS files).

I switched to WDTV3LS which did same good job for a while.

Connection to SHARP LCD HDTV is via HDMI cable.

Files are stored on a WD World Book 1TB HDD.

Some days ago, I found my m2t files, after some seconds playing, they start stuttering and play no more sound.

Thinking about a firmware issue (1.11.14) I waited for the new version but still had the problem.

Then I went back to 1.10.13, then to 1.09.10 and then to 1.08.17 but every tried version left the issue unmodified.

m2t files are stuttering with no more sound.

What I would point out is that I never changed any piece of the setup.

My main use of WDTV is playing m2t files.

Can anybody help?

playing same files from a MyBookWorld via wired network connection doesn’t solve problem.

Same files played from MyBookWorld by a Sony Playstation PS3 have no problems at all.
