After several years of no issues with my drive, after accessing remotely all last week, I woke up Sunday 20th Dec with no files available to me. All public and private folders gone… only the antivirus folder showing on the drive. I have not updated out to the new os5 firmware just used as normal. Restarting the device still remains the same. Sure anyone have any ideas how this can happen? Or how to recover my files? The control panel is showing correctly with all drivers working ok, though showing all the drive space available to use, ie none space currently taken…
Running in raid and with red 8tb drives… the drives still work and report to be ok…
Sounds like Volume_1 is mounted but your samba config file may be corrupted.
I would login via SSH and check:
df -h
ls -la /mnt/HD/HD_a2/
cat /etc/samba/smb.conf
If the shares are listed in ls -la and the smb.conf does not contain all the shares, perform a System Only Restore to rebuild the smb.conf file.
