Local network access can not be switched off

I wanted to reset my access to mycloud in the local network, but whenever I switch off “local network access” it only states “internal server error” and after refresh it is still on without change.

does anybody have a clue what is wrong?

Reboot the My Cloud Home from the webapp (browser) if you are still having problem. There is a 11-step process to ‘Clear Device Settings’, if you can properly log into the local Dashboard, then just follow steps 7-11

  • Click on the Profile Icon in the top right hand corner.

  • Click on Clear device settings.

  • Click on Erase.
    IMPORTANT:

The device will reboot and start re-indexing the content. After reboot is completed, the page will auto-refresh and go back to the My Cloud Home, ibi dashboard login page. Device owners can manually refresh the page to check if device is ready.

I am having the same issue, but the “Clear device settings” option is not available after I log in.

In order to see it, you need to be the device admin “aka owner”. Try to contact the one who setup the device first time to do it for you.
