Local file access is dead slow when WD Discovery 4.1.270 is installed

Every time I try to access local files on my machine, there’s a huge pause. Uninstalling WD Discovery fixes the problem, but then I cannot access my WD My Cloud Home.

I can access the Public folder via SMB, but I would like to access my personal folder via SMB so I don’t have to use the WD Discovery software.

I am using Windows 10 Home insider build 20251.fe_release.201030-1438.
