Link Aggregation Question

I was playing with the link aggregation to see if it would have an advantage on my PR4100. For my application, I don’t believe it’s necessary. I turned it off as the manual suggested(and rebooted), but I am still left with a LAN1 and LAN2 in the menu picks (still grabbing two IP addresses). I have reviewed the Link Aggregation doc and it doesn’t seem to address this issue. Help?

Well, as per my understanding of link aggregation, it uses 2 interfaces combined to archieve 2x speed of gigabit interface less overhead. For all devices communicating over network, the 2 NICs under link aggregation are perceived as one device. Meaning - if you turn the LA off, you still have 2 NICs conneccted to the network, just on 2 different IPs, where each acts as different device (networkwise).
