I have a Legacy external drive WD2500B019 and this was the last thing I ever expected to fail.

Now the drive is making a clicking sound and it will not come up to speed. The orange/blue light is flashing and I can’t access any of my data.

Does anyone know if there is a way to recover what I had or fix the drive. There appears to be no screws or method to open the drive from the outside.

Any thoughts?
