Largest drives in EX4

I know the website says you can use 4 6TB drives for a 24TB total. Has anyone tried larger drives to see if it works or not? Say 8 or 10tb?

I was considering getting some 10tb drives to see if it would work, but $1000 is a lot of money to pay for an experiment when you are broke.
