wd hd tv wont read my kingston DT100 16 gb usb 2.0 data traveler , i put avi files on it mkv files mpg, mpeg2 files on it and it says error or there nother there to display . yet my smaller 2 and 4 gb usb drives work perfect with those same files on it . any help please .
Try reformatting the Data Traveler, and see if that helps.

I have a Kingston Datatraveler 100 (DT100) 16gb usb 2.0 and it doesn’t work in my WDTV live (tested in firm 1.03.38_V or older).
I have formatted it with “HP USB disk storage format tool” (NTFS file system) and WDTV live reads directory perfectly (video, music and pictures) but when I try to play any of them, WDTV live say “Unable to play the selected file. Please see the User Manual for a list of supported file formats”.
Those media files work good in other pendrives.
Any suggestion?

i tried reformatting it and it still wont play the movie files on my WDHD media player . all other smaller usb devices work , just not this 1 , the one i actually want to work .
any more help on this would be great .
