Is there any way to stop indexing?

What an absolute shambles WD products always turn out to be. So I upgraded the OS, and literally NOTHING works as it did.

It’s been sat indexing for about 10 hours and is only at 22% using up all the CPU and I can’t currently use Plex or any of the other apps without worrying about frying the whole thing. As always, WD broke something that didn’t need to be fixed and it’s so very frustrating.

Is there any way to reliably stop the indexing process, or to speed it up, so I can hopefully get back to normal with using it?

Do you own the single bay WDMYCLOUD, second generation? If yes, what size drive does it have? Mine is a Three TB. The image below is from my My Cloud.

The only “easy” way is to disable cloud services.

There is long history here - - -but bottom line is the cloud services are what drives the indexing process.
