Is there a way to change the background image when I am viewing a specific folder? I would like to have a backdrop of the movie show up as the background when I open the folder on my TV. Is there any way to do this, or is it just not possible?
Not possible. Maybe if you look at some of the other firmware out there (I haven’t used any) you might find something, but I doubt it. As far as the official firmware goes, I can tell you that it isn’t supported.
This is only possible with the homebrew firmware (ie. WDLXTV or ext3-boot).
Go to wdtvforum.com and the Custom/Homebrew Firmware section and do a search and look at the stickys. Take a look at MSheet for movie sheets.
