is there a DIY path to adopting this discontinued product group? I am very interested using it but not sure if I can just buy a hard drive and install the software.
Thanks for your help

Sorry I meant to reference the discontinued WDLABS Raspberry Pi project. So is there a DIY path to this projet?
Thanks again for your help

I’m looking at PINN
as it seems to be a good compromise between NOOBS and the WD Labs BerryBoot solution
I have released a fully updated community edition of the Foundation (NOOBS) software. This includes Raspbian Stretch and updated firmware for the Raspberry Pi B+.
With that said, you don’t actually need any special software to accomplish this. You can use the standard NOOBS software or even a regular Raspbian image to install to a USB storage drive.
