I wasn’t clear Is the FW4 firmware update only for windows?
how do you update on Mac? I’m a new Mac owner.
Didn’t see where I should drop the firmware file for replacment.

the firmware update should be available right from the mycloud web dashboard, but if i were you i would wait a little while, read the forums and decide whether or not to install.
Currently I cannot connect to the MyCloud shares via Mac, I rebooted my MyCloud (first time after the firmware patch) and now it still hasnt finished coming up and is completely inaccessible.

p.s. when it is time to do this can you explain to a Mac newbie how to load in the firmware. I don’t see how to do this.
