Is My WD book drive dead? (I mean forever...)

Hi,

I use WD book drive (1.5), it failed on Mac and on PC.Not recognizable.

This is older book model: My Premium Book II        WD10000C033-000

When I used (onPC-WindowsXP)  WD Drive Manager I got Status message : Bad

Device       MY Book Device                 Serial  Number          Capacity        RAID Settings         Status

#1               WD My Book Device         XXXXXXXXXXXX             0.0 GB         RAID   0 Mode         Bad

It means is unfixable?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the drive is faulty and you will need to replace it. If under warranty you can contact WD for RMA.
