Is it ok to create multiple partitions on a RAID5?

I just purchased the 48TB G-SPEED SHUTTLE with TB3 and was wondering if it’s ok to create multiple partitions on the device if it’s running as a RAID5 array.

kinda defeats the purpose, use directories trees for various needs
