International Warranty?

Hi,

I am planning to buy My Cloud 2TB NAS drive from Amazon in US:

I am in US for few weeks and then will go back to India after that. I am wondering if the warranty will be applicable in India as well or not? Are there any conditions for International warranty. I read the warranty policy on WD website but could not find anything related to it. Please help.

Once you are back in India, you will need to eventually change the warranty on the drive to that region.  It will be out of region in India, but we make those kinds of changes all the time.  Make sure to keep your receipt, so you can get the full warranty time on the drive as well.

Thanks for your response, Bill. Just wondering, do I need to call up/email customer care to change the region? Or can I do it myself on the website somewhere?
