Hi there,

I’m considering getting a new SSD (internal), which I intend to connect via a matching adapter to the USB port of a Laptop. There are SATA to USB adapters with and without additional power supply. Do the SanDisk SSD Plus and SANDISK ULTRA 3D SSD require more power than a USB 2/3 port can provide?

I’ve checked the data sheet from the product page but it doesn’t mention any power requirements. How much ampere/watt do the drives need under full load? Does it vary between models/capacity?
