I need to replace a Western Digital WD Blue WD2500AAJS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive but new egg it says out of stock and they can’t recommend what else would replace it. it goes into a dell optiplex 780 OS win 7-can anyone recommend something else that can be used? can it be a bigger size HD-250 gb current-can I go up in size?
Hi I checked your system and it has a Intel® Q45 Express Chipset w/ICH10DO this will support any drive really. If you want a faster drive go with the WD black 500 gig drive for example this one WD5003AZEX. If you want to stay with the blue series one like this would be fine WD5000AAKX they are both 500 gig drives and will give you a bit more room.
