Internal hard disk not found - try to reseat the drive

I installed the WD 2.5 inch SATA 3 Gb/s hard drive in a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series and I keep getting an error message:
“Internal hard drive not found, to resolve issue, try to reseat the drive.”
I’ve reseated the drive several times and keep getting this error message.

Do you have any solutions for this problem?

Hello, SunnyWs39,

Well, If you have reseated the drive several times there could be the reason that the drive is failed or there could be the issue with the SATA port, I am going to ask you to clarify a few points, so we make sure we resolve the issue.

Just in case you can connect the drive directly to the computer and run the diagnostic utility.

After that, you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about the test result.
