Just trying to install the setup software. I get part way through the installation when my computer says ‘Setup has stopped working’ A problem caused to the program to sop working correctly…’
Thing is I can see the device in explorer. How do I get the setup software to install correctly? Do I even need it?

PS I am on Windows 8. I have tried installing with firewall disabled but that didn’t make any difference
You can use MyCloud without setup software.
Go to http://wdmycloud/ on your browser and setup your shares and other settings then you can map this shares as network drives or location from My PC on windows explorer.
