I have been searching everywhere and still haven’t found what is inside the WD Elements Desktop 10TB external drive. I suspected it would be a WD Blue hard drive however those don’t exist as 10TB and the 10TB WD Red is a lot more expensive than this. Does anyone know what drive is inside it?

Most likely it’s a WD Green, but there’s no guarantees. Somewhere on WD’s site there’s actually a Knowledgebase article that discusses that question and gives that answer – no specific drive should be expected to be inside any external drive product.
