Increasing my capacity from 4 - 4TB drives to 4 - 12TB drives (RAID 5)

From reading the forum here, it appears I can do this 1 drive at a time - or all drives at once. Correct?

Can I do this while the system is on (aka hotswap)? Or is it better to turn it off first?

Western Digital still recommends to turn the My Cloud Mirror, EX2 or EX4 off unless extremely necessary.
