Increase storage capacity WD WD10000H2U-00 1TB MY BOOK MIRROR EDITION

I have my WD WD10000H2U-00 1TB MY BOOK MIRROR EDITION configured RAID1. I believe I have had this drive over 15 years and now I am about maxed out on space free. I was wondering if I could buy two new disks, swap out the 500gb’s in the unit and increase the storage. Any limiting factors?? Originally there was a 2 TB model so I am assuming replace with 1 TB’s (2) shouldn’t be a problem but could I go larger?? Would appreciate the model numbers of the replacement drives.

Thanks in advance – Cheers !!!

Hello,

See if the following link helps

After researching the cost of replacement drives I’m beginning to think it might be a better option to just spend a little more cash and buy a 4tb my duo and leave my old my book chugging along as it is. Thanks for the response! Cheers
