I just bought a My Passport for Mac and it is locked with a password

…and Office Depot has a 14 day return policy for technology, which I missed. I have all of the original packaging, my receipt and a My Passport that is not only locked with a password, but it is making this clicking sound over and over. I’ve tried to enter the wrong password in 3-5 times in a row, hoping it would just reset, but nothing…my iMac doesn’t even recognize it…I’ve switched the cables and, nope…If someone could point in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Try to erase your My Passport for Mac using WD Drive Utilities in appropriate file format to use further on your Mac. You can refer below link to download & install WD Drive Utilities on Mac.
