I can't see my G Drive

I formatted my G Drive earlier today, per the instructions for Windows 10 users. When I click on Disk Management, I can see the drive, but if I click on File Explorer or This PC, I can’t see the drive. I’ve tried googling the problem and I’ve searched in here but can’t seem to find an answer.

I have tried different USB ports, but that hasn’t helped at all.

I called tech support and it turns out I somehow didn’t allow it to assign a drive, and now that I’ve done that’s I can see it.
