How to use SFTP to move files between share or to an external USB drive

Is it possible to move files to external USB drive.

I have 2 disk raid as 0 but for some reason I cant copy/move files from mycloude onto another system e.g. my PC

I can read and view files without any issue, i just cant copy them.

If I attached an external usb drive can I copy them to that and if so how to I access files from myclode without using file browser or any other app
