How to upload files in wd2goiphone app

ok in android wd2go app there is an upload button at the top right but its not there in the iphone app?

can someone give a step by step how to upload an mp3 from iphone5 to wd2go app? pics would be awesome

i also tried opening an mp3 file but cant select open in wd2go

help!

Hello,

The current version of WD2GO does not have the option to upload files on IOS.

That’s an iOS limitation due to the way iOS handles file management and because it doesn’t have a built-in system-wide file browser, so I don’t think it will ever be fixed as it’s not an app problem to begin with, but a limitation of iOS itself.

Maybe if system-wide file management is added on iOS 7 then the app will do it.

Sure it does.  I’ve used it a few times.

But the application that “owns” the file needs to support “Open In…” function.

For example, I can download a file using Safari webbrowser, and when the download is finished, Safari asks what I want to do with the file.   I can select “Open In…” and then select WD 2go, and it will appear in the downloads section. From there, you can upload to the WD 2go device.
