How to uninstall the feature pack manager?

Hi,guys.

Few weeks ago,I got the feature pack manager on my MBL and then installed Transmission,just out of curiosity.Now I realize that I don’t need my MBL to be a torrent cilent,so I want to uninstall it because I’m afraid of bricking my device when I update the firmware next time.

How to uninstall it,or do I have to uninstall it?

plz don’t let me restore to factory settings.I have 2TB files in it!

Don’t you have a backup of your files? Do the Factory restore and than just copy your files back on to the drive…

Simple. Download the corrent firmware from WD’s web site and initiate a firmware upgrade from file.

You’ll loose all you customisations to the Linux OS on the MyBook Live but it’ll be put back in a known state and, guess what?  It’s not a factory reset so all your data stays put.  :smiley:

Well… That’s the common sense solution.
