A friend asked me to fix his HP dv2715nr notebook. Turns out the original HDD is going bad. I stuck a used 320GB HDD into the laptop, and I’m reinstalling Vista using genuine HP recovery discs. Which are horrendously slow, BTW - it’s been going for over 4 hours now and still not done.
I’d like to clone the new Vista install from the used HDD to a brand new 500GB+ WD Blue. My question is this - how do you use the Acronis software when you’re cloning a laptop?
I’ve got a dock - can I use that?
