I was looking at how to partition a 2Tb G drive Mobile and use one half for Time Machine and the other for Lightrooom Catalogs. I may have inadvertenly hit erase and now the Mac pro laptop will not recognize the drive. What did i do and how if possible to reformat the drive for mac.
Erasing the drive would still cause the drive to show up on the Mac without issue. We don’t usually recommend partitioning and to use another device entirely for Time Machine but the partition process is outlined by Apple themselves: Partitioning a drive in Disk Utility
