Okay, got the my book live 8TB, and I connected my 3TB USB drive to it. But I can’t find the extra drive. Went in to computer, network, and explorer, and it’s not there. Although when I signed in to the web page, I saw it there and it told me how much space was left, it didn’t tell me to enable it or disable it. So so what am I doning wrong. Using windows 7 with latest updates.
You need to map the hard drive in order to access it. Check page 123 of the manual for the steps.

I am interested if when you do find the USB drive connected to the MBLD, what version fo firmware is on your MBLD and also if you have any problems trying access on your USB mass storage device. If you have a USB flash stick, could you try use that too and see if you can read/write files to it?

It won’t be THERE. It’ll just appear as a share under the MBLD itself.
